Kelly Nishimoto is an entrepreneur, fashion designer, television personality, media host, Mom, and lifelong creative whose career has been built on one simple belief: if you can't find an opportunity, create one.

Raised in the backwoods of Georgia,

Kelly grew up far from the fashion industry and even farther from Hollywood. In a small town where resources were limited but imagination was limitless, she spent her childhood dreaming of designs, reinventing clothing, and wishing for bigger than her surroundings. Long before social media and reality television made fashion accessible, Kelly was creating her own runway shows and designing garments from whatever materials she could find.

One of her earliest collections was made entirely from Reynolds plastic wrap. What began as a creative experiment became her first runway show and an early lesson in innovation, resourcefulness, and believing in her vision, even when it looked different from everyone else's. Those same qualities would later become the foundation of her career.

Over the next two decades, Kelly transformed her passion for design into a thriving business, founding Cute Booty Lounge, one of the early pioneers in the women's athleisure space. Under her leadership, the company generated more than $14 million in sales, built a loyal national customer base, and became known for innovative designs that helped shape trends still seen throughout the activewear industry today. Many of the design elements that later became commonplace in leggings and athleisure wear were concepts Kelly was introducing years earlier.

Her success in fashion led to opportunities in television, where her warmth, creativity, and relatable personality resonated with audiences nationwide. Kelly became the co-host and designer on TLC's hit series Something Borrowed, Something New, which aired for three seasons and more than 50 episodes. The show followed brides faced with a difficult choice: wear a brand-new wedding gown or allow Kelly to transform a cherished family heirloom into a modern masterpiece. Through fashion, storytelling, and emotional family connections, Kelly helped create some of the series' most memorable moments.

In addition to her work with TLC, Kelly has appeared on MTV, Style Network, and numerous media outlets as a fashion expert, designer, and television personality. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for combining creativity, authenticity, and business savvy in everything she does.

Today, Kelly is the creator and host of Hairbrush News, a growing media platform dedicated to beauty, fashion, wellness, trending stories, and real-life conversations women actually care about. Through radio, video, social media, digital publishing, and a rapidly growing online community, Hairbrush News delivers headlines with humor, honesty, and a refreshing perspective. Beyond media, Kelly continues to work as a creative consultant and brand strategist through KN Design Group, helping businesses develop products, branding, and marketing strategies that stand out in crowded markets. She is also the co-founder of Play Dirty Sports, a family-owned company built around youth athletics, community involvement, and the belief that you should always play hard—but play with honor.

While Kelly is proud of the businesses she has built and the opportunities she has created, her greatest joy is her family. She is madly in love with her husband, Aaron, whose love, support, and partnership have been a constant source of strength.
